ChipMOS joined “Eco-friendly Restaurant” Program

ChipMOS has continuously focused on the issues of environmental friendliness and small holding, and is committed to promoting the concept of green and low-carbon diet. In response to the Ministry of the Environment's “Green Lifestyle” program, we will officially join the eco-friendly restaurants in December 2024, and support the three major actions of “not providing disposable items, prioritizing the use of domestically-produced ingredients, and promoting food-saving ordering” with our actions. ChipMOS's specific practices include: providing a good dining environment, implementing waste separation and food waste recycling; distributing one set of 304 stainless steel tableware to each new comer; using local ingredients and posting traceability labels for Taiwanese pigs and vegetables; and various food-smart promotion measures.
In addition, ChipMOS will implement “Operation Clean Plate” from 2024 onwards, encouraging employees to bring their own tableware and not to use disposable utensils; to order food sparingly and take as much as they can eat to avoid waste; and to prioritize the use of local ingredients in cooking. The slogan of Operation Clean Plate will be posted on the menu, in the area next to the samples of food and at the front of the table, in the hope of reminding employees to think twice before taking their meals, and to work together to minimize the wastage of food waste, and to take action to love the earth together.
