ChipMOS Receives the 2023 Outstanding Award for Adopting Air Quality Purification Zones

ChipMOS has been a long-term adopter of the Doulun Air Quality Purification Zone in Zhubei City. In 2023, the Company’s achievements were recognized by the Ministry of Environment (MOENV), and the “2023 Outstanding Adopters of Air Quality Purification Zones Awards Ceremony” was held on April 30, where Shun-chin Chang, head of MOENV’s Department of Atmospheric Environment, presented awards to commend outstanding adopters including private organizations such as enterprises and communities. ChipMOS also attended the function to demonstrate its resolve to foster a better living environment.
The Company supports the government’s urban greening policy by taking advantage of plants’ dust-trapping and air-purifying properties to improve air quality in cities, aiming to elevate the quality of the living environment for community residents and provide them with recreational venues. ChipMOS has materialized environmental protection through regular cleaning of the environment, pest control, plant care, and facility maintenance. In recent years, ChipMOS has installed plant interpretive signs in the hope of imbuing the air quality purification zone with more educational values, in turn allowing citizens to learn while relaxing.
ChipMOS continues to engage in environmental sustainability-related projects and targets based on its eco-friendly strategy, including source management, circular economy, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and water resource management-related projects to implement the Company's environmental sustainability-related policies and commitments.
