ChipMOS has been approved the 2023 IDA, MOEA Low-carbon Program for Big Leads Small

ChipMOS has been approved to conduct the “Low-carbon Program for Big Leads Small in Manufacturing Industries” by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) at the end of July 2023. In mid-August, the Executive Vice President D.Y. Tsai represented ChipMOS to accept an exclusive interview with Global Views Monthly to demonstrate the philosophy of ChipMOS on joint growth and sustainable management with supply chain partners.

 

ChipMOS Low-carbon Transformation Promotion Project adopting a "big leads small" approach, that ChipMOS will function as the hub of relevant activities and drive 12 supply chain vendors towards low-carbon operation. To achieve carbon reduction goals, we implement the following actions together: 

 

1. Establish a green supply chain low-carbon transformation promotion group.
2. Implement actions for energy conservation and carbon reduction, and share the performance and experience with supply chain vendors.
3. Assist supply chain vendors to participate in low-carbonization and intelligent diagnosis, carbon management systems and other assistance to strengthen carbon inventory ability and deepen professional capabilities such as ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067 and ISO 50001.
4. Assist supply chain vendors to plan and implement energy-saving optimization action plans and provide substantial subsidies.
5. Confirm and track the execution progress according to the schedule.

 

In the future, ChipMOS will continue to expand communication and cooperation with the supply chain vendors, exert green influence, so as to achieve mutual growth, sustainable operations, and win-win.
