2021 Earth Day ‧ Love the Earth Series of Activities

In response to “422 Earth Day” and the Company’s energy conservation policy, ChipMOS held a series of activities to protect our earth from March to Aril, including “2021 Earth Hour”, “Seed ball DIY activities by recycled paper”, “Nature-friendly tea garden- tea volunteer trip” and “Beach Cleanup Activity”, we led all employees to participate together to actively bring out climate change.
In response to WWF's global energy saving campaign, "Earth Hour" will turn off unnecessary power for one hour on March 27, 2021. Through company-wide promotion and FB fan page (南茂科技CSR粉絲團、ChipMOS南茂科技員工關係), all employees and stakeholders are called to participate in the campaign, such as turning off personal computers, office areas and public areas before leaving, and turning off lights, air conditioners and meeting equipment, etc., and taking practical actions to fully respond.
“Friendly seed ball DIY activities by recycled paper” held on April 13 and April 14, leading 100 colleagues to use recycled paper pulp and seeds to make potted seeds. This activity will not only experience the fun of handicraft, but also build the knowledge of ecological environment protection, support the recycling of resources and reduce the impact on the environment.
“Nature-friendly tea garden- tea volunteer trip” held on April 10 and April 24, 146 employees and their families joined the trip to learn about the Shakeng Red Treasure Tea Garden in Hsinchu's Hengshan District, the ecological tour and tea picking experience, and to learn more about the tea farmers' insistence on not spraying pesticides, not using chemical fertilizers, and manual weeding, and other methods of restoring the land and raising awareness of land protection and environmental friendliness among employees and their families.
“Beach Cleanup Activity” held on April 24 in Tainan Anping Yuguang Island, in cooperation with the Tainan City Environmental Protection Bureau and several corporations. ChipMOS called on 137 employees and their families to participate in the event, protecting the cleanliness of the oceans and do their best to keep the beautiful coastline clean.
ChipMOS is committed to various environmental protection projects and continues to promote green living, and leads our employees to work together and implement in daily operations and life. In the future, we are looking forward to working with more suppliers and external organizations to make green impacts and take more friendly actions to care for our earth.
