ChipMOS focusing on global climate change issues and has been taking actively environmental actions, and has implemented ChipMOS energy policy. We organized a series of activities in February-April in response to the “422 Earth Day” every year, 2025 activities including “Earth Hour”, “Climate Change Painting Competition”, “Children's Reading for a Sustainable Future” from Hsinchu fabs, and “Red Dragon Fruit Adoption” from Tainan fabs, we continue to lead all employees to participate in the environmental protection actions. In addition, ChipMOS has also been promoting environmentally friendly projects, including the implementation of the “High Speed Rail” connecting employees' business trips to the factory, and joining the “Green Restaurant” of the Ministry of the Environment, and is committed to integrating environmental protection thinking into our daily operation and life, so that we can jointly safeguard our home and love the earth.
“Earth Hour” is a global energy-saving activity initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF); ChipMOS has supported the event for 5 consecutive years, to turn off the unnecessary power for an hour on March 22, 2025. We hold the plant-wide promotion and posted on our Facebook fan page to call the joint participation of all employees and all stakeholders. In 2025, ChipMOS extended the invitation to 23 long-term partners to participate in the program with the most practical actions.
ChipMOS entered its 10th year of long-term engagement with underprivileged children in remote areas of Hsinchu and Tainan, and continued to work in the three elementary schools in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County: Jiaxing Elementary School, Jinping Elementary School, and Meihua Elementary School, fulfilling the Children's Day wishes of a total of 187 children. This year's event combines the Earth Day and the International Children's Book Day. In addition to continuing the promotion of environmental protection awareness, the event also hopes that children can learn about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through reading picture books, and guide them on how to respond to sustainable development issues in their daily lives.
